When you leave my salon you will own long, shapely and elegant fingernails. I would like to offer you some advice on how to always keep them looking their best.
Although your acrylic/gel nails are amazingly resilient, they are specifically designed to break under extreme pressure of a direct blow. This occurs so that your natural nails are protected and not injured. However, by simply altering the way you use your hand and fingers, you can all but eliminate breakage.
For example;
Do's
Dont's
Your natural nail will continue to grow normally, creating a gap at the base of the nail, between the acrylic and cuticle. When this is noticeable you should return to the salon for a re-fill. The regrowth area is filled in with more acrylic/gel and buffed. Depending on the rate of growth and the condition of your nail, this should be done every 2-3 weeks. (some clients go for 3-4 weeks)
I offer a free check after seven (7) days when I advise you of when you most likely require a refill. This service can include a file buff and repolish and we suggest that you make this a regular part of your nail care routine between refills. (you need to make an appointment for this)
As your nails grow, you have the choice of either letting them get longer or having them shortened keeping the original length you had to start off with. As you get used to your acrylic nails you will find that keeping them a bit longer after each re-fill won't bother you.
Enjoy those gems at the ends of your fingers and I look forward to attending your nail care in the future.
With compliments...
